Till now, The Animorphs Downloads board at AFF was only accessible to ‘Full members’(members with 5 posts or more).

One of our forum regulars, mrchuckles, has suggested that the new users should be allowed to download the first ten of the ebooks. He has also provided valid reasons to support his suggestion.

Quote from his post :

One, it will act like a “teaser” or a “free-trial version” of the forum, so that people won’t give up on the five posts. And two, it will give people who had never read the books before coming to this sight, (like me), something to discuss in their first five posts.

I’m already in the process of implementing this. Hope it works out well.

Update : This has been implemented. New users can download the first ten Animorphs e-books(in PDF format) from this topic: http://animorphsfanforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=49

But to access the rest of the ebooks(11 – 54, as well as the Chronicles, Megamorphs and Alternamorphs) to need to have a minimum of 5 posts in the forum.

As you might have noticed, the AFF blog has moved from http://animorphsfanforum.com/blog/ to http://blog.animorphsfanforum.com. This has been done, so that we could host the blog on another host other than the host on which the forum is located. This way, we could notify the members/users if the forum is down and effectively, provide a contact point even if the forum is down.

I guess the title says it all.

This is kinda late, but whoo, we’ve got 400+ members!

Starting from last month, there has been a noticeable increase in posting activity at the AFF. As a result, the number of posts and topics have increased dramatically. Current statistics :

We also have a new board : The Chat Board, for members to chat with each other when they are online.

Let’s see now…
This blog is to post stuff about and involving the AFF that isn’t critically important enough to post as an announcement.

Lemme start by saying
We’re 3rd in Google Searches for ‘animorphs forum’ and 13th for ‘Animorph’.
Not counting sites repeated in the list, we’re 2nd and 11th respectively.
